Community Participation is an essential Core Support for individuals with disabilities. It is designed to assist you in achieving your goals for enhancing community connection and participation. To ensure active participation in the community, Empowerable Nursing Care Services’ Community Participation program can help you acquire new skills or enhance existing ones. We encourage your participation in communal, social, and recreational activities, as well as in the workforce. Under our Community Participation Program

We encourage you to go out, meet new people, and try new things, and we will help you do so. Our Community Participation program includes the following services:

• participating in social groups
• attending personal development, vocational or educational courses
• visiting your local library
• going on holidays, camps or outings
• attending movies or concerts
• attending community events
• going to health or medical appointments

We also provide assistance with transport to and from an activity. We provide assistance with communication, personal care etc while you are participating in or attending events.
